The 385 S4 office shredder has a unique feature: it has the ability to function as a tabletop shredder as well as a departmental console model. A sliding "bellow" is available for additional cost and attaches to the front of the machine to form the console. Without the purchase of the " bellow", the machine assembles to be mounted on a desk or tabletop for personal applications. It has a 16" wide throat that is designed to shred EDP/computer print-outs. The 385 S4 paper shredder shreds up to 15 sheets at a time into 5/32" strips. It has an electronic eye that automatically starts/stops the machine once paper has been inserted. A stand-by function allows for less energy consumption while the machine is in use. Visual indicator lights stop the machine when shred bag is full or door is opened. The cutting head destroys staples and paper clips with ease. An adjustable computer forms top shelf is also available for continuous hands-free shredding. Also available in standard cabinet form.
